I was the first participant at Plant It Again to start a microbusiness called Laurie’s Journals.  My business is doing well and I have been able to do so much more.  People often comment that I am a good example in leadership because at craft fairs I stand up, smile, engage with potential customers and highlight everyone’s art.  At program, I work hard on my business products and personal art and always quietly observe everyone around me to make sure everyone is happy and doing well. 

Staff at Plant It Again saw that quiet leadership in me and the way other students look to me for support and knew I would be good at teaching art lessons so I have led several.  I led group art lessons of journal-making, monster-drawing and one of unicorns.  Currently, I am working on creating YouTube videos for my channel as well as posting advertisements.  I’m proud to be the student liaison at Plant It Again.
